ABOUT
Perry Golf & Country Club was established in 1906 when Oklahoma was still a territory following the Land Run of 1893. Since it's inception, the mission of Perry Golf & Country Club is to provide a family-centric social club for the citizens of Perry and the surrounding area. This Perry Maxwell designed course is currently ranked #2 in Oklahoma by Golf Digest for 9-hole courses behind Southern Hills Country Club's short course. We invite you to experience our facility and take a step back in time to golf's golden age of architecture.

HISTORY

The origins of Perry Golf and Country Club date back shortly after the “Land Run of 1893” to 1899 when local families first got together as a social group to acquire property. Predating statehood, the Club was then officially registered in 1906. The picture postcard above is the swimming area at the Club lake, which bears a postmark of July 28, 1909 (a collection of Marcia Moore).

Boaters enjoyed gliding over the lake at the original Perry Country Club sometime around 1909, as shown in this picture postcard above. The view appears to be looking to the west, with the roofline of the old Perry High School building on the horizon at right. Perry's "shale hill" probably is the small outcropping visible on the left horizon.

The original club house is shown above. This is a view of the west side of the building as a trio of golfers putt on one of the nearby grass greens.
